really liked it
bookshelves: adult

I loved the writing in this book. I found myself wishing I could write so well. She does a wonderful job of finding each character's voice. I loved seeing from the various perspectives in the story. There were really no villains, just many people trying hard in different directions. It was much more like life. I thought the topic was interesting, but difficult. I was torn by the ending, and I wasn't sure if it was just because it was an uncomfortable ending on purpose, or if it was just not as well-developed as the rest of the book. In many ways it was so sudden, and maybe that was the point. But, I still didn't like it.
