it was amazing

This will be a spoiler free review but will contain aspects of the plot.

This is definitely not a book for people who have a strict feelings on the more holy side of religion and get easily offended when something suggests otherwise.

This was a fantastic book. The development of plot and character was amazing, and the intriguing world-building was unique.. It has romance involved but, like so many other books, it fortunately does not overwhelm the story. That's a huge deal to me, in fact "romance that doesn't overwhelm the central conflict" is what earns my reviews the fifth star.

This is a good book to read if you are interested in non-fantasy magic/sigils. The characters are well done and despite the protagonist having unique abilities, there is no special-snowflake syndrome. It has a satisfying, climatic end and many beautiful, intriguing plot points throughout the book. If you like darker-themed books with subtle romance subplot, climatic ends and perfect character development, then Almost Demon is worth the read.
