like a book i recently read about the illusive figure in history known as tamerlane this portrayal of the siege of constantinople by mehmet (fatih to his own) relies heavily on few accounts and lacks conclusive detail. however the author roger crowley has really put in alot of effort to telling the story in a flowing manner (short chapters & paragraphs bursting with as much information as he can possibly provide in a good sized book) thereby keeping the reader infused, not relying on repeating details consistently and constantly like some historical writers tend to waver towards.
