liked it

It was a fun and quick read, but unfortunately for me slightly annoying. It would have been so easy to have a Turkish speaking person review a couple of the exchanges and Turkish expressions. There was something incorrect about every one of them. Even I know this as someone who is still learning the language.

The other part I just couldn't get beyond was the passage in Istanbul where the water tanker ship somehow is able to navigate beneath the Galata Bridge. You don't even have to have ever gone to Istanbul to know what a stretch of artistic license that passage was. Just google the Galata Bridge in Istanbul and see the pictures that come up and you will know what I mean.

Regardless, if I already knew these things about Crescent Dawn, I would still read it. The formulaic yarns of Cussler still constitute good entertainment.
