** spoiler alert ** I wish I could give it 6 stars. This book was amazing and I love every minute of it. It was so real and familiar to me. The whole high school/what am I gonna do/feeling lost scenario was raw and sad and depressing and I couldn't help but feel for Charlie. I will say one thing though, Charlie was a really emotional kid, like over the top emotional, I wanted to slap him across the face sometimes because it's like he was clueless to what was going on around him. I hope the movie adaptation does this book justice. I'm still kind of in shock after finishing it, it's really an emotional journey of a book and I will love it forever. Like Bill said: "Be skeptical about this one. It's a great book. But try to be a filter, not a sponge."
