really liked it

I liked this book. I had heard an interview on NPR with the author and at first thought it might be goofy, but it was a good story about being young and growing up and how your life changes...but how you can get some of that joy back as well.

It also got me thinking: why did I not have a David Cassidy when I was growing up? The main character (and the author) are a few years younger than me, which make a huge difference in teeny bopper land. I was 13 in 1971, which put me in the Partridge Family/Brady Bunch demo, but I wasn't a Tiger Beat girl. I do remember a crush on Glen Campbell. How sad.
