really liked it

Poliner has created achingly beautiful characters and connections. A hope-filled tale of the conflicts that accompany trying to stay true to one's culture and family as well as one's heart — and the lifelong loss and heartache when one wins out over the other, whether by choice, tradition, or fate. Truly a lovely book. (I received a free ARC of this book; opinions are my own.)
