it was ok

Response: I read The Graveyard Book by this author first and did not like it. I have to admit that Coraline was an easier read, but I still did not like it. It is weird, evil and creepy. One of the problems with Gaiman’s writing is that I do not feel an attachment to any of the characters. I feel he lacks character development. This book was not as boring for me as his other; it was just strange and eerie.

Teaching Implication: The only thing that I would do with this book is have it for extra reading. I think that I would ask parents if they are comfortable with their children reading this, because some parents may not be comfortable with the evil aspect to this book.
