"The Library" is a great book! I love this book because it encourages students to read and highlights reading through an interesting, well-written story. This book would be a great tool for teaching students about writing in stanzas, rhyming and repetition. There is a lot of new vocabulary for students. The story also follows a certain structure, a time-line structure, that could be introduced by reading this story before they do a lesson on writing usig time-line structures.

Courtney Sharpton I loved this book too! I read it in my placement and was trying to figure out lesson plans I could use it for. If the students like reading and books, it might be fun to talk about multiplication. You could introduce it by saying you want to know how many books she has but you do not want to count them all. Students could suggest ideas.
