This is trying really, really hard to be the girl's version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Unfortunately the illustrations aren't as well integrated, and much of the narrative is going to be incredibly dated in about three years. Diary of a Wimpy Kid, while not exactly high literature, has more timeless appeal and will still be funny ten years from now, when people don't know who Nick Jonas is. The storyline itself is also quite shallow; it would benefit a lot from having more of something like Dear Dumb Diary's brand of black humor.

Cute concept, nice packaging, really iffy execution.
