This is my favorite Trigiani novel, although I'll admit that the first time I read it I didn't realize Bartholomew was a woman for several chapters, probably since her other books are all from a woman's perspective. Happily, she pulled it off, really successfully in my opinion! Unlike some of Trigiani's heroines, I could at least understand Bartholomew. The plot was well-thought-out.
