In one way, 'The Stowaway' is an 'oops' moment in my writing. I was asked to write a story for an anthology and the publisher specifically requested an MMF piece. Ego and vanity being powerful driving forces I said yes! :D Well, I mean come on, a publisher asked me to write a story! LOL. Unfortunately, a 15-20K short story blew out to a little over 30K. I'd like to say in my defence that the characters made me do it. They kept putting complications and relationship twists into the equation. Not to mention the little hiccups presented by solar storms, rickety spacecraft and some rather nasty pirate-types out to get Arek and Devlynn.

In the end, I'm really glad I didn't try to hold back the story. I like the way it turned out. And now I've got ideas for another two books. What can I say, plot bunny breeding is my specialty! :D

I really hope you enjoy 'The Stowaway' if you decide to read it. Rachel, Arek and Devlynn were a lot of fun to write about.
