really liked it
bookshelves: art

I saw this book right after I viewed some of Marilyn Manson's early artwork for sale in 2006. Here is some of Manson's new work.
I wasn't very impressed with Manson(he has improved a bit) and opened Barker's book in this attitude. I didn't intend to compare them, but they are both artists that became famous working in a medium other than visual pictures.
Barker's macabre cohesion spoke volumes. Small details that would horrify and tease you. Colors that made you sick and smile. A delightful book for the dark soul.
