liked it
bookshelves: classics

I had a difficult time with the dialogue in this book. Because the individuals are from the country their speech patterns grated on my last nerves. I also found myself so attached to poor Maggie and so saddened for her that by the end of it all I was altogether upset. It isn't like I can't take a sad ending. I generally take them very well. Just not Maggie Dang it! I liked her, she was a beautiful and loving character.
