First I have to say that this book is not for the faint of hearts. It is raw and deals with a lot of issues such as depression, suicide, sexual abuse and other things.

Rachel has taken something raw and made it a beautiful story of how one girl has survived a dark path to come into the light and heal. In poem and essay style Rachel weaves a dark past and things that happened to a girl that should not have happened and the path to healing.

This is a must read for anyone who has ever been abused sexually or thought about suicide. This is an amazing true journey of taking something bad in life and turning it into something positive and inspirational.
