Claire Fuller's Reviews > Mothering Sunday
I loved this book so much. The only thing wrong with it was it was too short, but then since it was so perfect I wouldn't have wanted it made any longer. It had a beautiful lazy tone to it, dated and sunny and sad, and the story, told from memory had a beautiful cyclical quality, as memories do - they aren't ever linear. Then right in the middle it punches you in the stomach. I could read it again right now. It'll definitely make my top ten books of 2016 and it's only early February, as I write this.
