really liked it

This book is a tender remembrance by Patti Smith of her early days in NYC, and her life there with the controversial photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. Smith is a talented writer, and the book was entertaining. It was interesting to see a personal side to the tough, weird public persona that is Patti Smith. I loved the old photos, too.
