This is an interesting book about a nondescript young man who gets pulled into the Russian mob through no effort or desire of his own. The story is interesting and I felt the frustration of not knowing what to do to get out of the mess and realizing that there were not any options.

There was a lot of murder and mayhem, as one would expect from any Russian mystery. There was also the social issue of the potential for nuclear material to be easily obtained and sold.

Still, it was mostly about the characters. Some things were rather predictable, but nonetheless, the reader is kept just a little off balance as the unexpected happens. I certainly stayed interested in the story until the very end.

I received a free copy of the book in exchange for doing a review.
