it was amazing

This book gave me some insights not only into Steve Job's unique and interesting innovation and management style, but also the ethos behind Apple. I didn't know all that much about Jobs before reading the novel, and was fascinated by his polarizing character. He was certainly an asshole, but after reading the book I am also convinced of his genius and am impressed by his perseverance to maintaining his ideals despite a world that seems to be fervently against it for so long. He snatched victory in the face of certain defeat and pulled Apple from seeming obscurity to once again the forefront of technological innovation.

I have always been in favor of the open platforming standard championed by Microsoft and more recently Google, but I now understand and see the value of the integrated system championed by Apple.
