really liked it

I liked this book better than I expected. I tried other books by this author and didn't bother to finish them, but I enjoyed this one. I like stories of estranged lovers reconciling. I also felt that the author accurately protrayed what infertility and pregnancy loss can do to a marriage. So many authors just gloss over the subject, or make the heroine pregnant again and everything's perfect. Real life doesn't work that way. Having been through three miscarriages myself, it's a huge pet peeve of mine when an author doesn't show the real pain that comes with pregnancy loss.

I also liked that the breakup wasn't over some stupid misunderstanding. The hero and heroine had communication problems, but it wasn't from a refusal to talk to one another. They were trying to communicate, but they were having difficulties understanding each other's needs. That felt realistic.
