This series continues to get better as they go along - although this in itself is a problem, really - it's hard to recommend a series when you have to say, "Well, the first two books are just ok, and then it improves". I realise the value in having a detailed backstory that is slowly revealed over the course of several books, but you've got to maintain people's interest from the beginning of the story. Anyway, that aside, Late Eclipses runs to a similar formula as the previous books have - Toby is presented with a threat to her and her loved ones, and tries to fight said threat, while low on sleep and food, and in this particular book, while poisoned.

Late Eclipses was suspensful and fun, and Toby discovers a whole lot about her past (although what that was made me groan a little. I think I liked Toby better before). I enjoyed it a lot, and am looking forward to the next book (there's still villains at large, and potential romantic relationships for Toby to explore.)
