Beautiful. And it made me think of this:

That a person would sacrifice his or her own life in order to give someone else (a stranger, really) another chance at life is such a point of hope in humanity. Why is it, then, that when this concept is presented in the format of a young adult fiction novel, there's a unanimous appeal, approval, a 4 out of 5 stars rating-- but when it's presented as the truth, it is met with cynicism, doubt, even hostility?
