That motorcycle accident gave this group so much and took so much away from them. It was a blessing that Perkins found Hollister. But they lost Arturo. And poor Arturo lost so much as well. Finally we get some answers and I for one found it difficult to read. Both he and Guinie share their secrets of what transpired during their separation and it's not pretty. Mrs. Dunbar took me on an extremely emotional ride. I felt everyone's pain, resentment, and love. She wrote this series so well that I felt the kiss of Arturo like this character was real. I felt betrayed too. How dare he leave me??? The writing through this entire series was phenomenal.

And Morte? To be honest, every scene with him reminded me of a horror film. Well every scene with him and/or his mother, Ana. I was waiting for the reveal that they were immortal and that Morte was truly the spawn (Tristan's word, not mine) of the devil or something. I can't be the only one who was freaked out about Ana's hissing and slithering and all the other creepy descriptions used to give her character definition. Morte wasn't any better. They gave me the shivers.

I liked how everyone was popping out babies. Very sweet and some good closure for the other couples. Dunbar was excellent with giving us more of the other characters in this book. Even though we don't get their POVs, I still got my fix.

My only disappointment was the ending. Dunbar has been psyching us out with promises of HEAs, and yeah there's one here, but I wanted more. I expected more. After all she put Arturo and Guinie through, I expected MORE!! Well at least she's given us hope for future books in the series. My wish would be for more Arturo and Guinie. They need a better HEA.
