Animals Should Definately Not Wear Clothing
Feb 27, 2011
Animals Should Definately Not Wear Clothing is definately appropriate for those children who are being introduced to picture books. The whole concept the this book is very humerous and allows the reader to take a closer look at each animal's characteristics by the tpye of clothing they are wearing. Students will be able to see that all in all clothes are not meant to be worn by animals for many reasons. The overall display of the book is without a doubt very appealing by the color choice Ron Barret chose to create for the book's cover. The front and back cover also go hand in hand as it, as a whole, tells a story through picture. On the cover it may just book like a porcupine wearing a dress, but if you turn the book to the back page you can see that the porcupine on the front cover is actually looking at itself in a mirror on the back. It is also obvious the both the author and the illustrator must have had some type of agreement when deciding where text and illustrations were to be placed. Throughout the entire book, Judi's text remained on one page in very large font, while Ron's pictures took up the other page and varied in size.
