liked it
bookshelves: 2011-read, ya
Recommended for: readers of the Series of Unfortunate Events
Read from October 28 to November 02, 2011

Picked this up for 3 reasons: I like the word incorrigible, I loved the cover art, and I wanted a quick YA read.

30% in, it's quick and sassy, not overly taxing or annoying YA. In a similar vein to the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. Love that the protagonist went to a School for Poor Bright Girls.

Final verdict: Delightful illustrations. So really this was just a long introduction to the characters in the hopes that you'll pick up book two. It's like watching the first season of LOST. I loved every minute of it, but absolutely nothing was answered. I do, however, think this author is not making it up week-to-week, unlike the LOST writers.
