Oliver Sharpe, Lord Stoneville is the hero of this book. He was one of the bad boys from The School for Heiresses series. He really is a bad boy, but this book had just the right amount of naughty, nice and it was funny as well. American Maria Butterfield, surprises Oliver from the first and leads him on a merry chase, along with Oliver's meddling Grandmother who wants to see all of her grandchildren married by the end of the year, and his siblings who hope to manipulate their grandmothers plans to have each of them married.

Oliver's parents died tragically when he was 16, leaving emotional scars on Oliver for the next 20 years until Maria arrives on the scene. Maria has a way of getting to the heart of the matter if Oliver will only trust his heart to her.

Great start to I believe will be a great series. I loved how this book ended. It was not abrupt, and it flowed well into the next in the series.
