A love story set in a futuristic dystopia (with the trappings of a utopia)? Count me in!

Cassia is off to her Matching Banquet since she is 17 and it is time to learn who the Society has statistically calculated will be her perfect Match - her mate for life. She is allowed to wear a special dress instead of the usual uniforms - she picks a green one, and is told it was predicted she would pick green - and that night, there is special food instead of the usual food specially formulated for nutrients instead of taste. She is thrilled when not only is her Match someone from her community, but her best friend ... until she plugs in the Microcard they give her and a different face flashes on the screen, and it's the face of yet another of her friends.

This sets Cassie on a journey that explores questions of personal choice and freedom. Loved it!
