Harry Dresden is back with a vengence. Now he has a soldier of god, Michael Carpenter and his sword,Amoracchius. Also back is Susan, his girlfriend and reporter, as well as Lt. Karrin Murphy of Chicago PD and the skull, Bob.
The always over the top dialog is my guilty pleasure. Sam Spade would be proud of the dialog as "hells bells" is one of his favorite refrains.
Chicago is on the cusp of a ghostly torrent as well as a vampire invasion from the Red Court. Oh yeah, Harry's Godmother also wants to call in an old promise Harry made to her, something about his soul being promised to her by him. Oh my god, will the never ending over the top action and dialog ever end?
What the heck is going on and will Harry and his friends (and some of his foes) be able to figure out what is going on. Hells Bells, I sure hope so.
This is good fun and very enjoyable. You just gotta put up with lots of over the top dialog, action and just enjoy the rollicking good action.
