Called "one of the great read aloud books" by Steve Barancik of Children's Book Review¹, this picture book uses simple line drawings and a minimal amount of dialogue to create a sweet and entertaining story. It features a pigeon who begs and pleads to be allowed to drive a bus using common childhood arguments. The audience get to say 'no' over and over again, putting them in the role of the parents. The pigeon is denied from driving the bus, showing children that incessant begging is not effective. One criticism is that the author does not give a reason for not allowing the pigeon drive the bus making the direction somewhat arbitrary.
