really liked it

My dad LOVES Vince Flynn and these books. I had no idea what they were about - I used to enjoy those old Tom Clancy books back in the day starring Jack Ryan. The character in this case is Mitch Rapp...he's an assassin for the CIA. This book is a prequel of sorts to all the other books, as it describes how/why Mitch gets into doing what he does, and his first mission.

I really enjoyed this book, though the ending was abrupt, and it actually got me into starting at the beginning of the entire series. These books encompass to a large degree my father's worldview (he thinks Fox News is too liberal) - but they are really entertaining and are extremely quick reads. Look, there are terrorists out there, assassinations do happen, the world can be a scary place...and overall, if you enjoy the Tom Clancy/24 type adventure/political books this will be great for you. It's what reading should be - fun.
