A potential cure for AIDS lies at the heart of this thriller. Doctors in a NYC clinic have found a cure for AIDS--but it seems someone does not what the cure to be made public because the cured individuals are gradually being killed off by a serial killer. The novel employs a decent cast of characters--a young and prominent couple who make a devastating discovery, a cop who has his own secrets to keep hidden, and a doctor who has given his whole life to finding a cure for the disease that took his brother. I enjoyed this thriller; it was a quick read and one that gave some insight into the prejudice towards those who suffered from the disease in the early years when the disease was becoming more prevalent in the U.S.
