First off, I must be noted that this is the first book in a series. And because of the fact that it's pretty short, most of it deals with the very important character development necessary to create and enhance the story.

I will not say that the book is boring, far from it, but it starts off slow and then only gets up to speed at the very end. It feels like one of those movies where you spend 75 minutes watching something very dull, and then the last 10 minutes contain all the action. This is not necessarily a bad thing, especially considering that it is, as I say, the first in a series.

I find it likely that the rest of the books will be far more thrilling, and look very much forward to reading the next installment.
