did not like it

Terrible. Had to read it for book club but struggled through it. Horribly written. For some bizarre and completely unnecessary reason it is set in the future - only it is a future that is more technologically backwards than the world we live in today. It's like the future imagined by some IQ challenged 50 year-old in the 1980's. I guess supposed to be a mystery but not a single twist, run or unexpected event. Just slogging though a not terribly interesting investigation with some completely gratuitous sex chucked in for good meaure.
