Wow! Liz grew the heck up in this book and I couldn't be more proud of her! Because of this growth, depth and maturity, I had to rate this book higher than the first two. I was just so impressed with the way this character dealt with the major upheavals that were occurring in her life. It was such a marked difference from what I expected based on her behaviour earlier in the series. I finally can say I like Liz. And... I can also finally say that I LOVE Brady Maxwell!! Damn but this man warmed my heart. Finally I got to see what all the hype was about.
“Your most romantic date is to lie in an open field and stare at the stars, but every day I’m with you is more romantic than the next. Romance had no meaning before you. So you must be my stars.”
“They say the measure of a man is what he does with his power. I’ve come to find that I have no power without you. So, I want to share it with you for the rest of my days.”
“Wish me luck,” he whispered.
“You don’t need it.”
“You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“I know. I’m so proud of you,” she said, laughing lightly. “I’ll always be your airplane.”
Calleigh was terrible. So was Chelsea. So were many people. I won't even bother getting into it.
Am I the only one who found it weird that we got a chance to like Mollie only for her and Chris to break up shortly afterwards? Why bother?
I'm glad that Hayden was given a chance to redeem himself. I still liked him and still felt sorry for him. He deserves a HEA as well. I just felt so bad for him because we know that he is still very much in love with Liz.
Clay is still one of my fave characters. Every scene with him is hilarious. I'm glad we got to see another side of him in this one. A side that loves his brother. A side that cares. Hell, a side that actually has a heart!
That epilogue was incredible. Loved it. Brady for President. Isn't that what this was all leading to anyway? The scene was adorable and now that I've finally fallen in love with these characters, I'm sad to say goodbye :(
