I was going through Scandal withdrawal and a friend of mine recommended this series. I expected some Olitz-type happenings. Not quite what I got but the story was interesting nonetheless. Add one part politician, one part college co-ed, and a dash of a secret love affair and that's what this book is about.

I think I was looking for more suspense, but the only anticipation I felt was wondering when they would get caught. They were pretty ridiculous in their subterfuge because they definitely weren't subtle!

I've read some other reviews and I saw a lot of Team Brady readers. I'm not there yet. I don't feel like I really got to know him. The little of him I did see was through the eyes of Liz, and she was just too silly for words. I had to keep reminding myself that she was a very young woman. Her outlook on life, her reality, just wasn't relatable to me. Her reactions were so out there sometimes. I saw myself shaking my head at her way too much.

So, to conclude, right now I'm Team Hayden. I believe he has more to offer her. A public relationship for one. And his heart was much clearer to me than Brady's. Maybe that will change in book 2.
