it was ok
bookshelves: fluff, crime-mystery

I gave up Ruth Rendell last year. I think I need to give up P. D. James, too. It's really not fair to brand these books as "mysteries" since there isn't much mystery to them. I've gone through many a James mystery in the last few years and they either have a terribly obvious villain or a completely impossible to guess villain. Neither is very fair to the reader. And James just goes on and on without getting into real character development.

I just need to end our relationship. I'm not getting anything out of it. I think I've been going back to James since she isn't terrible. But I shouldn't settle. I can do better.
