I usually steer clear of shifter stories but in the case of Haven's Revenge, having read Finding Home by the same author (not a shifter story but a sweet contemporary male romance), I thought I would chance it with Haven's Revenge - and I am so pleased that I did. Up to this point, I have only read 2 shifter stories - Shifting Changes by Sage Marlowe and Taming the Fox by Amelia Bishop - both excellent and I would put Haven's Revenge in the excellent category - for the depth/breadth of the story (with the prospect of lots more to come), and the wonderful treatment of the relationship between Haven and Alex, which could so easily have gone off the boil for me if the tension had been overplayed or allowed to run on any longer - beautiful ending, great set up for the next instal, characters that you can love and hate ... above all, a great story.
