Imagine having the best moment of your life and the worst moment of your life be at the same time. Before the 2001 Daytona 500 Michael Waltrip had gone 462 races without a win. That year he had been hired by the legendary Dale Earnhardt to race for Dale's team. As it turned out Michael won his first race in the biggest race of the year. At the same time Dale, who was in third and holding off cars from getting to Michael and Dale Jr., was killed in a crash on the last corner of the last lap. Talk about conflicting emotions!

Micheal Waltrip is such a laid back and unpretentious guy. It come through in his book. A really nice guy coping with some really tough times and how his life changed "in the blink on an eye".
