Alisha-Dear Constant Reader This book very much reminded me of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. It mixes the paranormal, elements of historical fiction, science, and romance into one colossal book. I found Harkness' writing smart, and quick paced. I am a bit annoyed by some of the comments that this is a middle-aged Twilight. Please. I'm not real sure that there was a good deal of research involved with the writing of Twilight, first of all. And just to be clear, the protagonist in 34, not 44. That doesn't make her lame, it just makes her older than 16, which is refreshing.
I was so sad to finish reading this book. I'm looking forward to the next installment of 3. Amazing debut novel!
