Kathleen says, When I picked up this book, I thought what I was getting was a ghost story but what I found was a thoughtful, engaging murder mystery.
This is a character-driven mystery set in 18th century England, specifically a fictional university named Jerusalem College. Actually hired to investigate what has happened to the son of one of the university's benefactors, John Holdsworth finds himself in the middle of a murder mystery with rumors of the victim still haunting the campus.
Rich details and thoughtful story-telling make this the perfect choice if you are looking for a novel that you can sink your teeth in and lose yourself in.
