really liked it
bookshelves: 2016-library, series

This book was definitely a fun ride. Locke Lamora and his band of thieves (the Gentlemen Bastards) are a group of con men that grew up together under the tutelage of a priest who pretends to be blind.......to get money. Locke grows up to be a quick thinking con artist who does elaborate heists, costume changes and all. This story has a lot of humor so when I started reading it I thought that's what it would be, a good story and some good laughs. Then there seems to be a turning point involving someone they know and it gets real. The rest of the story gets very real but I liked it. I didn't realize this was a series when I started it but I can see how this story can go on. I think I'd like to continue reading what Locke gets himself into.
