I liked this book. I thought the characters rang true, it tackled an important issue, and it told a good story. However, I was really put off by the basic premise that there was no oversight from the faculty at this boarding school. The idea that teachers and administrators would overlook bullying, substance abuse, rape, and more and yet parents would continue to fund the school and send their children there was ludicrous. I hope this comes across differently to high school aged girls reading this book, maybe they feel as all alone as the characters were, otherwise I don't see it delivering and effective message.
