The Carrie Diaries follows Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City fame through the end of her high school years. We see how Carrie becomes interested in becoming a writer and how she begins to chase her dream. We also see her beginning to look at relationships. This book takes place before Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha. I think there are supposed to be several more books in this prequel series. One is slated to come out later this year according to Goodreads but I'm not sure how many more there are supposed to be.

This book was cute. I love the Sex and the City series. It was interesting to see her before the days in NYC (although my guess is she gets to NYC before this prequel series ends). I'm definitely interested in seeing how she meets the other women of SATC.

This is light, fun reading and would be great for anyone who likes chick lit as well as fans of the SATC book and tv series. Although, I don't think this book's appeal is limited to lovers of the series.
