it was amazing
bookshelves: captive, dark, dual-pov, killer, suspense

Damn!! This book had me hooked from the first chapter. From the first scene. How Regan could endure what she did while playing the alphabet game with horror films was beyond me. I could not put this book down. I personally didn't like her from Last Hit but Daniel definitely intrigued me since then. Although Regan was annoying and needy and clingy and difficult and kinda dumb, it was understandable in the circumstances.

Daniel was ah-mazing!! I loved him. This author writes some hard to love but gotta love em male characters (I've read her Billionaire series as well and same thing goes). He's strong, hot, smart, dominant, good with his hands(*wink*), etc. And his dirty talk was a definite plus!!

I like that we were given a glimpse of what the other books in the series will be about. It was obvious that we'd be getting more of Naomi and Vasily. I can't wait to see how that turns out. And Rafael Mendoza. It was telling when he talked to Daniel in the infirmary that he wanted a woman of his own. Can't wait to meet her.

I was glad to visit with Daisy and Nikolai again, no matter how briefly. Thankfully they got to witness Regan and Daniel's HEA.
