Ok, well Lilly finally endeared herself to me completely in this book. I'm glad her character finally put her trust in Theo because he definitely deserved it. Damn, the things he did to save her any more suffering. Even going as far as to save her brother from the same torment. I just love him so much!
Hugo was a clown, as always. Molly and George were just as supportive in this book.
I just feel like Theo stole the show in this series. Yes, he made a mistake when he slept with Cassie. But we know he thought she was Lilly. It's always been Lilly for him. Once this man fell, he fell hard. Why was there no question of paternity in this book? It used to be a question of if it was his kid but in this book, Lilly expected him to treat it like a forgone conclusion. She expected him to support Cassie in her pregnancy when there is a lack of proof of paternity. I don't believe this is something that should be forced onto anyone, if he wanted to help, it should have been his choice, especially because he had doubts about paternity. It's understood that Cassie was a druggie, a stripper, homeless liar. So everyone was supposed to trust her word???? Not realistic in that aspect. I think I would have treated the situation the same way Theo did. I would push for a paternity test before taking any supportive action. But that's me.
The ending was a bit abrupt for me. When I saw the word epilogue I thought we would get more. It just fell flat. They're engaged. And????? Just another reason why I couldn't give 5 stars. It was a great read, and I will be reading Hugo and Molly's story, but these elements frustrated me. Oh, and the editing. Using "bare" instead of "bear" and "wonder" instead of "wander". And other editing errors. It didn't take away from the enjoyment of the book, but the entire series suffers because of these issues.
I wish I could get more Theo. Hopefully I get to see him in book 4.
