really liked it

This is a quick young adult read. (I read the whole thing in maybe three hours.) It’s about three 15 year old boys who hatch a plan to avoid getting summer jobs. Their series of get-rich-quick plans are entertaining, to say the least, and Hartinger weaves a satisfyingly well-put together narrative. It is, as I said, wholly implausible, but it was a fun ride. It’s not terribly intellectual, but has some significant themes such as the importance of creativity, work, and the people you surround yourself with. (I like to keep track of interesting word choices in books, and I only came up with two in this one: kibosh and cabal.)
