A well written and entertaining novel that will please anyone who likes a little dark fantasy in their western. Bowen (Delilah S Dawson) deposits the standard urban fantasy plot into the old west: young woman discovering the world is full of vampires and other supernatural beings. The author elevates the proceedings with snappy prose and lively characters, a scary big bad and expert plotting. I can't really find much of anything to complain about, except that for all the fun it's as light as the feather on its cover. It perked me up a little but didn't knock me over. My recommendation goes thusly: if you read the product description and it sounds like it is exactly the kind of novel you want, you will not be wasting your money if you buy it.
