it was amazing

This was absolutely fantastic. Easily his best in years, since Black House. The plot was menacing and engaging, and there was an undercurrent of the book being a meditation on memory. It's felt like King has been working through something internal since Bag of Bones, and this has been the first time that he's really been able to wield it to great effect.
