it was amazing

Pain, love, loss, redemption?
Check, check, check and check.

Hosseini knows how to expertly weave through the major themes that bind human beings together-- even in the most foreign (to most readers) context. I basically couldn't stop reading, except for regular 5-minute breaks to sob my heart out (= This book deserves a much better review of course, but there's enough hype out there to make my humble little vote of confidence unnecessary.
