really liked it
bookshelves: novels, pernod-and-gauloises
Read from January 27 to 30, 2011

The longueur of French academic life. The pain of being 40 and unfuckable. Something about quantum physics. It's all here in this eggheady gloom festival.

Steven One brother is Spock, the other is Kirk. LOL.

MJ Nicholls I hadn't though to use a Star Trek analogy . . . funnily enough.

Andrew Robins I think this is one of my favourite reviews on Goodreads. Excellent!

MJ Nicholls Thanks, Andrew. Not sure why, but as long as it pleased you!

Greg Z MJ, great, short, honest review. "Gloom festival" is right, but I recently finished "A Little Life" so "elements", comparatively speaking, is a lot more fun.
